Executive Director of Assisted Living – Level 1

The Executive Director of Assisted Living Certificate Course is developed for individuals seeking a career leading assisted living communities, including current and aspiring executive directors. The course provides an introduction to topics that have been identified as essential to the job of an executive director.

This comprehensive course is broken down into 16 modules, covering the eight knowledge domains identified in the Job Task Analysis for Assisted Living Community Executive Directors, as well as other pertinent topics (e.g., infection prevention and control). Learners will benefit from best practices described throughout the course, as well as opportunities to think through their current community operations, policies, and procedures. This course provides learners with an opportunity to expand their understanding of assisted living and to fill in learning gaps.

The course costs $450 for members and $550 for non-members and offers 12 weeks of access.

Senior Living Sales Counselor Course

Course Overview

This course features a series of slides containing content covering the three knowledge domains identified for successful senior living sales, as identified by Argentum's Sales and Marketing Executive Roundtable. This self-paced course, which typically takes between three to four hours to complete, is targeted to newer sales staff who want a quick orientation to senior living, the needs of its customers, and effective sales techniques.

Following completion of the course learners will take an unproctored test consisting of 60 multiple choice questions. Those who pass the test with a score of at least 71% will earn a Sales Counselor Certificate (PDF format) suitable for display within the community. (Those who do not successfully pass the first attempt are encouraged to review the course materials again before re-attempting the test.)
